Class, Birthday and Challenges.

Hello beautiful people!  It has been an interesting couple of days. I started class on the 23rd. I am taking ECON 2301. It's rather boring. I wish I would have took the class online vs. taking it on campus. Oh well.

On the 29th I celebrated my 27th birthday with a couple of friends. Enjoyed some yummy Mexican food. It's kind of funny because we went to Margarita's and planned on devouring some food. I managed to eat a few chips, and my quesadilla and was completely full. Usually I could eat all the chips plus my food and still be hungry. All this dieting and eating healthy must be working. ;)

I got to like day 25 on my challenges when my hip started acting up and had to stop. :( I was completely bummed. I have managed to get caught up on my squat challenge, but my ab challenge is impossible to catch up on. I plan on starting where I left off at tomorrow morning. I am also starting my running couch to 5k program again tomorrow. Hopefully taking the time off didn't completely screw me over on running.

Today I started the Body by Vi 90 day challenge. I am replacing one meal a day with the shake. I had it today with normal milk and it wasn't too bad. Tomorrow I am trying it with Vanilla soy milk. Wonder what it will taste like. Im hoping that doing this challenge will help boost my weight loss. I've managed to lose 9 lbs in the first three weeks my hubby was gone. My goal is to be back to my pre-baby weight by the time my husband comes home from Kuwait. It would be completely awesome to wear an amazing little dress to the husbands Welcome home ceremony. :)  Well my loves, this is about all I have to say for now. I will leave you with some great pics. Love ya!!

Army life and running

Today I started training for my first 5k. I am completely self conscious and hate running outside in front of people. So I ran circles inside my house. Went from my kitchen to living room to bedroom and back to kitchen. It was interesting. Hopefully I will find a jogging stroller and get some confidence soon. haha.  On top of training for the 5k I am doing the 30 day AB challenge, as well as the 30 day squat challenge. It's crazy that I wasn't this into working out a year ago. Gabe would have been able to help watch Austin. But now that he is gone, I have all this time alone and need something to keep me busy. I hope that I will be back to pre-Austin weight by the time my soldier gets home.
How do all the military wives handle it? I am going absolutely insane sitting here doing nothing. I am counting down till classes start again, and when I will have something to keep my brain busy. I got so used to having Gabe to talk to, and having poker nights and different friends coming in and out. I look forward to worrying about all of that again.

Well that's all I have to say for tonight. Knowing me Ill probably be on tomorrow with more random thoughts ;) Ill leave you all with some pics :)

AMAZING chicken and stir-fry veggies!

The first time I ran in 3 years. Not too bad :)

This is posted in my bed room. Top left is the Squat Challenge. Top right is AB challenge. The bottom is my calendar for the color run training and the Color Run couch to 5k training plan :)

Some good juju and mojo

So it has been quite a while since I've blogged. Spent a morning in the ER (Fort Hood's hospital is a POS!!), and a week on crutches... It was quite funny for everyone to watch considering I am the most clumsy person in the world. I only used them when I absolutely had to.  Im off the crutches now, and will hopefully never have to use them again. :) While I was stuck on the couch, I became obsessed with Private Practice. Ive watched every episode on Netflix and have a few left on HULU to be caught up. :) Just incase anyone has ever said that it would be nice to be able to lay on the couch all day and do nothing... It isnt that nice. It is actually very boring. Luckily I had my smash books and Smash Ladies to keep me occupied :)
OH!! And we have a new addition to the family. :) His name is Krypto :) He is named after Supermans dog. :) He's half Lab, and half Australian Shepard. We got him at 4 weeks old. His mom didnt want to take care of him anymore so now he is ours :) Him and Sky are best friends. He isnt afraid of her and will not take her crap. She has even yelped a few times from him biting her. :) He fits right in with our family :) Somehow, we manage to pick the mutt's that every one ends up loving. Watch, if we bought a pure bred dog, everyone would hate it.

Well My loves, I cant really think of anything else to blog about, so Ill leave you with some pictures from my smash books, and my puppy

Oh, and sorry about the emoticons. I am slightly obsessed with them. :)

Boys will be gross...

WHY IS IT THAT IT IS ALWAYS BOYS THAT DO THE GROSSEST YUCKIEST THINGS?? Yesterday, my loving and adorable Austin (1yr old) decided he wanted to go crawling around, which is normal. Well Jacob (7) has this thing where he NEVER closes the door to use the bathroom. EVER! I went looking for Austin and right as I found him he was pulling himself up on the toilet while Jacob was peeing. Austin then proceeded to play in the pee, mid stream... EWWWWW I grabbed him and he went straight in the tub. Yes it was funny, but eww. I can change diapers easily, but cleaning someone pee or poop that didn't come out of my body grosses me out. Even when one of mine have blow outs, I usually throw out the onsies or panties (while still potty training or if really sick). I dont even try to wash it. It comes off the kid and straight into the trash. Im still cringing... But yea... To top it all off, after I wrote the blog about my dog, and about how good she was with not chewing on things in the house, what happens? While in bed she shredded one of Gabe's work shirts... So she is back in the kennel at night. Hopefully she learned her lesson. Well loves, that is my rant for the afternoon. Tonight I plan on putting up my pictures of my blue smash book.

Taco night and the dog

Tonight is Taco night!! I really didn't feel like cooking so the hubs decided to take over. At least it isnt Ramen noodles and frozen pizza (his usual choice). Im thinking that Thursday should become Taco Thursday in our house. Sounds like a plan to me. Gabe had the day off so we just lounged on the couch together :) I love days like today. Luckily he is off till Monday too. Sometimes the Army is actually kinda cool. SOMETIMES...... Anyways.
I decided to take a few pics of our dog Sky today. She wasn't too fond of that idea considering she can NOT sit still for more than two seconds... Yea I think she has ADHD. But just about everyone in our family has some form of it so she fits right in. Lately we have been letting her sleep in the house. No kennel. Which is pretty big considering she eats EVERYTHING. Shes ate a cactus, numerous lighters, and an entire hose. That is only the big things. But luckily she doesn't even try to chew on anything inside. :) She just sleeps on the floor by the foot of our bed. The only time we have locked her in her kennel was for "cookies and milk" time the other night. We really didn't want an audience. ;-)
Well my loves... It is time to let the fat kid in me out and chow down on some TACOS!! Ill leave you with a few pics of my pup :)

Sky trying to lick the camera
Running from me so I wont make her sit anymore :)
 She is so prissy sometimes
Finally giving up and laying down with her ears up :)

Elections and Turtles

Good morning everyone!! Happy post election day. You guys excited for normal tv to come back on?? I know I am. (GREYS AND GLEE YAY). Instead of sitting on the couch with my eyes glued to the tv just to see who won, I decided to work on my step-son's birthday cake. He said he wanted a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cake. Well Walmart and HEB dont make em... So I had to get a little crafty. :) Figured that the results of the election will still be the same at 10pm or 8am the next morning. Birthdays are a little more important to me. So I got busy and made it. My amazing hubby drew it out on two pieces of computer paper and then I did the rest. We make the perfect team sometimes :). Here are the end results. :)

I think he turned out pretty awesome!! Jacob still doesn't know I made it, so it will be a surprise for when he comes home from school. :)
Well That's all I've got for now!!  Hope you all have a GREAT day!

Welcome!!

Hey Everyone!! Welcome to my new blog. Not really sure how this all works, and am obviously new. :) But Ill get the hang of it :) I guess I should start off with who I am and all that fun stuff.
My name is Jordyn, and I have two amazing kids. Haylie who is 7 and Austin who is 1. I am married to the most amazing man, Gabe, and am the lucky (and sometimes evil) step-mom to two great step sons, Caleb, 10, and Jacob, 7. I was in the Army for 3 years, as an Apache (helicopter) mechanic. Gabe is still in, so that means I am an Army wife. We live in Fort Hood Tx. We have one dog named SKY and she is a blue heeler/ Australian shepard mix. She will eat anything, including a cactus, bbq pit, plastic cups, hoses, lighters, and whatever else someone leaves out. But we love her. We love going to book stores (well at least I do and everyone else pretends too lol). I am absolutely obsessed with books. I want to eventually open up my own book store. My husband is obsessed with comic books. In the past year he has managed to probably get over 200 comic books. He hasn't opened a single one. He just puts them in a special bag and then into his box... Men are weird ;)
Now onto the craft side of my life. :) I love all types of crafts. I am learning to draw, paint and sew. Ive painted Curious George and Kayla (elephant from CG2) onto my sons wall, and Wonder Woman onto mine. I will eventually get Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles onto the older boys wall. But that will take me a few weeks to get done. My daughter is still up in the air on what she wants. I recently acquired two SMASHbooks :) They are my new fav thing! Ill do a special post on them once I get at least one complete. I love making wreaths for my front door and nifty little things I find on pinterest. Which, by the way, is the greatest site ever. I promise to post pictures and instructions on how I did everything as I go along :) Well Thats all I have for now! Hope you enjoy my blog and get some cool ideas from it!!

Here are a few pics of my recent crafts. :)
Curious George and Kayla, Plus the curtains I made with Hem Tape. :)
